Pet Preparedness Month
6/9/2022 (Permalink)
Every September is National Preparedness Week. That week is used to raise awareness about the importance of preparing for disasters and emergencies that could happen at any time.
Since pets are just as important and are part of the family too, June is Pet Preparedness Month. They need to be included in your family's emergency plan. Make sure that when you are preparing, making a plan, and building emergency kits you keep your furry, feathered and scaled family members in mind too.
Including your pets in your plan with cause less stress and worry when you need to make decisions during an emergency. Along with making a pet emergency kit make sure to consider things such as where will we go? Many hotels do not allow animals or the ones who do may book up fast? Do you have a backup plan and several options in case of an emergency?
SERVPRO of Morris/Ottawa wants you, your family and your pets to be prepared and stay safe if an emergency arises.
