The American Red Cross offers these  safety tips to help reduce the risk of fires in your home or business this holiday season. 

-Place Christmas trees, candles, and other holiday decorations at least three feet away from any heat sources. 

- Make sure light strings and other holiday decorations are in dog condition. 

- Always unplug tree and holiday lights before leaving or going to bed. 

- Never leave candles unattended. 

- Keep anything that can catch fire away from your stove or open flames.
